A super good quality polished Dendritic Agate Merlinite Slab. It is known by many names, common opal, opalite, dendritic agate and Merlinite for the more poetic among us. This is old stock and really is a better quality than most available at present, with some transparency. Polished both sides and a reasonable thickness for working into a lovely Aussie pendant or other jewellery item.

Large Chrysoprase Chunk Specimen with great green colour. It is translucent showing the grain, colour banding and slightly porous. Great for carving or as a brightly apple coloured mineral specimen. This is from very old stock. Stunning. Two flat cut faces really shows the interior of this Chrysoprase.

Chrysoprase, chrysophrase or chrysoprasus is a gemstone variety of chalcedony a cryptocrystalline form of silica that contains small quantities of nickel. The best colour is apple green which imitates Imperial Jade from Asia, but varies from deep green, blue grey to lemon. The darker varieties are called prase.
A striking Australian Opalised Wood Polished. This is a full slice end of the tree featuring defined areas. This slice end is polished on one side to make a great display piece for the home. The back of the wood slice end remains natural and unpolished. Petrified wood is extremely hard and dense, hence the weight. It is always surprising to pick these us and see how heavy they are.
