An amazing cluster of Himalayan Rutilated Quartz Albite from high in the Nepalese Himalayas. A great, rustic cluster with several perfect crystals with inclusions of minerals, rutile, chlorite and perhaps others. The matrix on this piece is feldspar and chlorite. There is a broken crystal on the cluster. An amazing example of Nepali quartz, we source our crystals direct from Nepali miners.

Beautiful Himalayan Quartz Crystal Rutile Chlorite Inclusions. This crystal is an excellent example of Chlorite including terminated and clear tip. The base of the crystal is mainly Rutile with miner Albite. It also features fine Rutile Chlorite inclusions within the crystal between the base and Clear tip. Mounted on a perspex pad. This is a great piece, totally natural, of course. Excellent inclusion quartz specimen for the collector.

This lovely silvery Mineral possesses special properties like electrical, thermal and electromagnetic insulation and shielding. We have personally measured these properties with a Trifield meter for shielding and Mica is one of the best natural radiation shields. It has been used scientifically for these purposes for well over a hundred years. This specimen is mounted on a perspex pad for enhanced display and to make some handling possible. Mica can be flaky and comes apart in thin sheets much like flexible plastic. It is a popular and unusual mineral that appeals to people of all ages. IMPERIAL TOPAZ
IMPERIAL TOPAZ
A beautiful, rustic specimen of Imperial Topaz on a quartz and albite matrix. So named for its golden colouration. Topaz is a gemstone and is also in demand as a mineral specimen. This piece is very much how you would find it in the field, still in its ‘matrix’ or host rock. Mineral collectors often prefer stones in their natural habitat like this, removed from the rock the gem would normally be sold by its carat weight (one carat being 0.2g). Topaz is a hard stone at 8 on the Mohs Scale, beautiful, available in a range of colours and relatively rare, making it perfect for high-end jewellery.

A large piece of polished Brazilian Rutilated Smoky Quartz. An unusual double terminated crystal full of thin “angel hair” rutile, along with another white mineral, perhaps calcite or albite. Many of the rutile inclusions in this crystal are curved which is quite lovely too. There are a few dings on this crystal, which is full of character. A one-of-a-kind, large specimen of smoky quartz with rutile.
