Aragonite Lightning Bolts. This large specimen is from a closed location Long Lake Canada and hard to come by. Pics taken with Short Wave UV or UVC lamp. We found this one in some old stock. The Blue streaks are Aragonite and Pink is Calcite. Stunning specimen, I just kept taking photos.

Aragonite

Aragonite is a common carbonate mineral. An interesting and attractive mineral. It forms interesting habits and can have a soft pretty color. Its modes of formation and relationship to calcite are both curious and intriguing.
Aragonite is a polymorph of calcite. It has the same chemistry as calcite, different structure, different symmetry and crystal shapes. Aragon, Spain is where aragonite was first discovered and from where Aragonite gets its name.

A large cluster of lovely pink Mangano Calcite Fluorescent Specimen. Also known as Manganoan Calcite. An aesthetic formation of blade like crystals. The cluster has no matrix and is a good light pink colour. My photos do it justice. This specimen is also fluorescent under long wave UV light. WILLEMITE FLUORESCENT FRANKLIN 006
A stunning specimen of Willemite Fluorescent Franklin 006 showing off the brightest fluorescence of all natural minerals Willemite. This rare special specimen is short and long wave fluorescent and features large areas of Willemite and Franklinite. The dark grey metal shown in the natural light photos is Zinc ore Franklinite. The white mineral is Mangano Calcite which in this case shows BIP Brief Intense Phosphorescence. Pics taken with shortwave, longwave, and sunlight. Very cool stuff and this is one of my very favorite rocks. To view this spectacular specimen you will need a UVC Shortwave Lamp and UVA Longwave Lamp. Make sure you wear safety glasses. Willemite Franklinite Calcite is also known as the Christmas Tree Rock for the colours Green and Red. This is a quality collectable specimen with wow factor.

PINK MANGANO CALCITE LARGE
A superbly Fluorescent Pink Mangano Calcite Large specimen with rare well formed crystal formation. An absolute stunner for any collection with a great colour. This specimen is of astounding quality with RARE well formed CRYSTALS and is of Museum quality. Four of the pics are taken under Fluorescent Long Wave Lamp. This piece is a lovely pink in normal light and super fluorescent under long and short wave light. Also it shows prominent BIP or Brief Intense Phosphorescence, this is when the UV light is taken away you can see for a brief moment the fluoresced area where the light was.
