A calcium manganese inosilicate (chain silicate) and a member of the Wollastonite group of minerals. Magnesium, Zinc and iron are common impurities substituting for Manganese.  It is much lighter in colour than Rhodonite, but can be confused with it especially as both minerals can be found together and in similar Galena matrices.
