TIN OXIDE.

The primary ore of Tin.  The mineral name Cassiterite is derived from the term “Cassiterides” which was applied to islands off the western coast of Europe.  The exact location of these islands has been hotly debated.  Current thought is the source was possibly mainland Spain.  Some say the Cassiterides are the British Isles.  Over 2000 years ago traders had a habit of providing misleading locality information to protect their sources.   Tin and Copper together create the alloy Bronze.  The discovery of Bronze enabled people to create objects harder and more durable than previously.  Making this a very important ore to mix with rocks like Malachite and Azurite (Copper Ores).
