A Fluorescent Thunder Egg for your Mineral Collection.  From a classic Aussie location for Thunder Eggs Mount Hay.  A collectable polished half Geode from old stock most importantly the fluorescence make it quite rare.  Fluorescent under Short Wave UVC light.  This specimen is Agate and it is possibly trace amounts of Uranium which makes a few of them fluorescent.  This particular specimen is the best one we have sold showing great detail and fluorescence.

Agate Silicified Center

Agate is a form Chalcedony which is in the Quartz family.  Formula: SiO2    Agate comes in a variety of beautiful colours, often with banding.  Chalcedony is a variety of microcrystalline Quartz.  Examples are the different types of agate, jasper, chert, chrysoprase, onyx, pietersite, etc.
