FOSSIL BIVALVE
Good condition and size Fossil Bivalve. Clams and their relatives (oysters, scallops, and mussels) are often called bivalves (or bivalved mollusks) because their shell is composed of two parts called valves. Bivalves have a long history. Their fossils first appear in rocks that date to the middle of the Cambrian Period, about 510 million years ago.

A Sea Urchin Echinoid from Australia. This is quite an attractive piece, great for a collector of Australian Sea Fossils. A real bargain too.
Sea Urchins are a group of marine invertebrates that today can be found in almost every major marine habitat from the poles to the equator and from the intertidal zone to depths of more than 5,000 metres. There are around 800 extant species and the group has a long and detailed fossil record stretching back about 450 million years ago.

FOSSIL WHALE INNER EAR BONE 01
We do have a Fossil Whale Inner Ear Bone 01 for sale, some pics of this specimen on this page. They seem to have been of denser bone than the rest of the whale skeleton, so they were better preserved. The auditory bulla is a bony cover for the delicate middle ear bones and tissues. In humans it is part of our temporal bone. Whales have several adaptations in their ears for hearing underwater. Tympanic bone.
