Huebnerite has 80% or more Manganese and is an ore of Tungsten.  Wolframite is the name of the series and the name applied to indistinguishable specimens and specimens intermediate between the two end members.  Hubnerite can make a valuable and attractive specimen when associated with clear quartz clusters.
Named in 1865 by Eugene N. Riotte (native of Elberfeld, Germany) for Friedrich Adolph Hübner.
