PINK KUNZITE CRYSTAL
A beautiful Pink Kunzite Crystal in its natural form. Well formed pink crystal with triangular cross section. It is uncommon to find Kunzite crystal specimens and this one would be an excellent gift for the discerning crystal collector.
A pink gem variety of Spodumene. LiAlSi2O6.
Spodumene is worked as an ore of lithium, but it is most highly prized as a gem material – the varieties Kunzite (pink) and Hiddenite (green) are especially sought after. It is usually found as a constituent of lithium-rich pegmatites. Kunzite is named for George Frederick Kunz (1856-1932), American mineralogist with Tiffany & Co.
