SPINEL CRYSTAL
SPINEL CRYSTAL
Stunning little Burmese Spinel Crystal to add to your collection. This one is brightly fluorescent. A good size showing a partial classic Spinel Crystal shape which other minerals of the same shape are referred to. We picked this on up from a trip to Myanmar many years ago. The pics were from outside and under UVA. It is Chromium that makes Rubies and Spinels red in colour. The only difference between Ruby and Spinel is Spinel has Magnesium. The crystal shape is usually an Octahedron.
