A lot of Good Bad and Ugly Chrysoprase Rough Aussie stone for sale. An amazing colour for a rough stone of apple green, once polished it will be quite striking. Usually reserved for jewellers, lots like this are hard to come by and attract high prices. A great Aussie Gemstone. Worthy for a scoop and selling some that you don’t use to your friends at the local lapidary club for making into jewellery. Some of the photos shown are backlit with a torch to show the depth of colour and quality. There is some of the best quality colour rough available for sale at a bargain price along with some real ugly stuff in this lot. A bunch of Chrysoprase Tumblestones are there too along with a few slabs, this just clears out our remaining stock.

Chrysoprase, chrysophrase or chrysoprasus is a gemstone variety of chalcedony (a cryptocrystalline form of silica) that contains small quantities of nickel. Its best color is normally apple-green, but varies to deep green. The darker varieties of chrysoprase are also referred to as Prase. This material was fossicked many years ago, the location is now closed for fossicking and local sales.
