PYRITE OCTAHEDRAL CRYSTALS

Rare to find this geometric form of PYRITE OCTAHEDRAL CRYSTALS. A great little cluster for the collector showing another formation of this popular metal. The mineral pyrite, or iron pyrite, also known as fool’s gold, is an iron sulfide which has the chemical formula FeS2. This mineral’s metallic luster and pale brass yellow hue give it a superficial resemblance to gold, hence the well-known nickname of fool’s gold. Pyrite is difficult to photograph and this one looks way better in person and shows the golden brass colour.

MANGANO CALCITE PYRITE

Lovely Pyrite Mangano Calcite Couple. Two specimens from the same location were in an old stock box and here they are. One in a triangle crystal shape with mass coating of micro Pyrite on one side. Another light coloured crystals cluster with minor Micro Pyrite. Both of these specimens are fluorescent under the long and short of it. UVC and UVA, just for good measure a few pics showing very brief phosphorescence with a UV laser. Just the kind many crystal lovers choose over more perfect collectible pieces. A super nice piece and something different from the more commonly available.

VANADINITE CRYSTALS

An awesome cluster of Vanadinite Crystals. The classic mineral from Morocco. What a great piece, excellent hexagonal crystals of a beautiful dark orange colour. It’s amazing what comes out the Earth! A good looking Vanadinite Crystal Specimen. Known for its hexagonal shaped crystals and orange brown colouring. Quite an unusual colour among minerals and often on matrix. A great looking Vanadinite Cluster. Known for its hexagonal shaped crystals and burnt orange colouring. Quite an unusual colour among minerals and often on a white matrix, as this one is. This cluster has great crystals of classic Vanadinite, sits well on two sides and will make a great display specimen in someones mineral collection.
